Instructional Videos
Tape # 1 Jack Spates, Counter Offense of Champions. Will help you to utilize techniques that will enable you to not just defend against leg attacks but score points every time your opponent attempts to take you down.
This system is guaranteed to make you a better wrestler and a strong counter offense is the quickest way to get better, faster.
Remember if you can’t be taken down, you are going to be pretty tough to beat!!!

Tape # 2 Chuck Barbee. Nearly 80% of the 1998 NCAA finalists were dominant mat wrestlers as well as being great on their feet.
Winning and Pinning Leg Wrestling will give you the tools to be a dominant mat wrestler and not only ride your opponents but turn them to their back as well. Leg riding can be the style that will change you from being just average to very good and very good to a State Champion!!!

Seth Vernon will more than likely be the starter at 149. I am not sure whats going to happen at 197.

69.71....not so sure about Vernon starting....from what I hear he would have to get past one of the Lesters first...

The more correct statement would be to say is that Lister would have to get threw Seth Vernon first. Young Vernon will be at the correct weight and healthy for the first time in a long while. You will finally get to see what this top recruited kid is able to do on a mat. Sometimes it takes yrs for the proper situation to fall into place. But lets let them wrestle but my money is on Vernon.

For the team   <>

For the team sake it is not a good idea to get on here and start pitting wrestler against wrestler and Sooner fan against Sooner fan. Just let the starter be decided on the mat. That usually works out. Not all the time mind you, but usually. One thing is for certain, all the bantering who one thinks can beat the other on this computer screen means nothing. These boys are team mates and I for one am glad they both wrestle for OU. I think the Sooner program is in a great place and the fans need to try to be there for all the wrestlers.

re: 69.171...   <>

I like this statement... with a new coaching staff and the team's new mindset the sooners are finally hungry for a national championship. IT COULD HAPPEN for our program! However, I think us too as fans, friends, family, and alumni need to change our mindset for the team. The sooners are a family and like 69.171.. said, I'm happy with either one of these boys. They are both extraordinary young men. I will support whoever steps out there are wins the spot. Our fans need to get to the same place our team has gotten to. Boomer Sooner!

I didn't mean to start up a negative discussion on whom will or won't start! I agree with both statements and am glad to support the team and everyone on it! "BUT", an educated discussion on who may or may not be on the team this year is just food for thought, no more than guessing if OU will win the big 12 this year. Yes, it is pure speculation, but come on...it is interesting to hear everyones thoughts...!

Sorry about the spam, you have no idea how many of them I reject for every one that get's through. They have to manually go to the forum and put the post in there, I'm able to block most that are generated from a program on a server in some foreign country.

Hello guys. I'm building my first website and I want to put some videos. I searched Google and I found some sites but none is understandable enough for a newbie like me… I can't understand anything since I don't have any experience with html/php coding… so if any of you knows a good place with recourses for beginners please share! Thanks.

Ou favored at 125, so it could make for a good battle. OSU will win but it will take their best efforts.

re: Funny Stuff   <>

Pre-seaon rankings mean nothing. . actually rankings mean nothing, nor does the Bedlam dual. What matters is how the wrestlers perform at Nationals. People always complain about rankings. . so and so should be ranked higher. . and etc, but what does it mean?

re: Funny Stuff: I agree that the thing that really matters is how the wrestlers perform, however preseason polls give an indication of how the season may play out. The polls will be way off on some wrestlers, and on the rest they will be in the vicinity. Plus why have a forum if we can't speculate?

Heck if nothing but nationals means anything, should we just not follow wrestling until March?
