     The Edmond Junior High Tournament has been in existence since 1942 when the legendary Ted Anderson organized it. Ted started with only 4 teams (Blackwell, Perry, Bristow, & Edmond), and deciding that wasn’t enough competition, invited each school to bring 2 teams. The original placings in 1942 were- Blackwell 1 & 2; Perry 3 & 4; Bristow 5 & 6; Edmond 7 & 8;
     This tournament is recognized statewide as the Ultimate Junior High School Team Competition. The placers at this tournament are a list of Who’s Who in Oklahoma Wrestling. There will be multiple High School Champions this year from this list.
